Who truly believes that burning about 100 million tons of oil DAILY, will not harm the atmosphere and the deep under ground. And burning around 2 Billion tons of Coal annually, reduceing the Gross weight of the planet by turning fossil fuel into gaseous emissions, taking coal and Iron ore from one part of the planet and stockpiling in another country, its reported many Asian stockpiles of Aussie resources exceed 100 million tons, upsetting the balance of earth. Sachs is such a BS know it all sloganeer he gave us all the solutions according to the book of Merikan superior economics BUT failed to mention WHO should provide the upfront venture capital for his export sunshine scheme , reasonably thousands of smarter people before him have costed similar plans but in the end one must assume the numbers dont stack up when pitted against guaranteed on demand base-load coal power...

Justifiably the Australian government should first concentrate on offering to make every Aussie home energy self sufficient with solar panels and storage batteries leaving the coal mining industries in place to keep producing and selling their bounty on the open global market with one or more power stations still operating around the country to cater for the demands of all of industry combined , leaving Pooh You Are My Sunshine My Only Sunshine Shirt to enjoy the benefits of cheaper on demand coal energy and at the same time to pay for the entire poles and wire delivery network system.
