I had to turn it off because I couldn't stop crying. I miss his leadership. Detria Galloway I can so relate. Bitter sweet to see what we had just a short time ago, compared with the nasty mess that now greets us every day. You're not alone in the need to deaden feelings in order to survive. But this demands every ounce of our talent. Please know I'm with you in spirit. Detria Galloway Same here. Same with books the President wrote and those about him. We squandered his presidency. I second that Rob. I’m having the same reaction. The press conference this morning was an embarrassment. I miss having an intellectual, well-spoken and well read leader in office. 😔 That was a really brave thing to write Rob... am glad you found something that moved you so deeply though, as crying is such a release and we should all be able to do it guilt free. I hope you are ok.  I seem to cry daily now but it was nice to be able to tear up over someone and something positive for a change. I as well and I'm Canadian! Growing up "across the river" from Detroit you can't imagine how much we Canadians miss the America you left in apparently completely incapable or nefarious hands. As others have said, you're not alone. The tears are for what we had and what we are losing.

We must fight, as our founding fathers said, against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC. We as a nation are greater than this! Thanks so much for your compliments on this unifying personality. I'm quite delighted that he recommended African books to the world. You may also love my title, The Rainbow Prince, about your beloved president and the dreams he has kindled in the world (Amazon Kindle). Rob I was NEVER a crier until Trump took over. Everything he does and says I'd so negative and the news is awful to watch. He is just ruining EVERYTHING with our county. Nice to have Mr Obama tell us what he's up to. Classy man!! I guess the saying " you never know what you have until it's gone" echoes even more on the hearts of the Americans since Obama's departure from the oval office. Bravo. Tears are human and much needed, especially for those who do suppress them when there is cause. Even a beautiful painting, or sunset can make me teary for joy. But sad tears are also sometimes necessary and good for our soul. A release even if only temporary, because negative emotions, built up, they can turn against us internally. My 12 yr old Grandson got to visit Africa thissummer with his other Grandparents. He has so many stories to share about the young people he met there. I am enjoying hearing about what he learned. It was always my dream as a kid and beyond to travel to Africa after having Northwestern IL.students from Africa down for Thanksgiving to where we used to live in Danville Il.

Happy Greyson got to go before I did, but I am.just a bit envious! 😉Have safe travels President Barack Obama! Please direct some to Ghana too. It is a nice place to be. We can start a conversation on that regard if at any point deemed necessary. Thanks so much for the compliments on this unifying personality.
